Bukuva — Terms & Conditions

By using Bukuva, you agree to the following terms:
1. SERVICE DESCRIPTION
Bukuva creates book cover concepts using artificial intelligence. Cover concepts are generated as watermarked previews at no charge. Unwatermarked, full-resolution covers are available for download at the published price per cover (currently £15).
2. PERMITTED USE
Generated covers may be used for personal and commercial book publishing purposes, including paperback covers, hardback covers, ebook covers, and marketing materials for your published books.
3. PROHIBITED USE
You may not: resell, sublicense, or redistribute generated covers; use covers for purposes other than book publishing; use automated scripts or bots to access the service; generate covers containing offensive, illegal, or harmful content; or misrepresent AI-generated covers as the work of a human designer.
4. FAIR USE AND RATE LIMITS
The free generation service is provided for genuine book cover creation. We reserve the right to limit, throttle, or suspend access at our sole discretion, including for excessive generation without intent to purchase, or any use that places unreasonable load on the service.
5. ACCURACY AND VERIFICATION
AI-generated covers may contain text rendering errors. You are solely responsible for verifying all text accuracy before submitting any cover to a publishing platform. We are not liable for errors in AI-generated text.
6. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
AI-generated imagery may not be eligible for copyright protection in all jurisdictions. You assume responsibility for understanding your local copyright position. Your text content (title, blurb, etc.) remains your intellectual property.
7. PAYMENT AND REFUNDS
Download payments are non-refundable once the unwatermarked cover has been delivered. Contact support for technical issues.
8. DATA AND PRIVACY
We store your account information, generation history, and uploaded content to provide the service. Content is shared with OpenAI's API solely for image generation. By uploading an author photograph, you confirm you have the right to use that image. See our Privacy Statement and GDPR statement for full details.
9. MODIFICATIONS
We may modify these terms at any time. Continued use constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
10. GOVERNING LAW
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
11. AFFILIATE PROGRAMME
Participation in the Bukuva Affiliate Programme is governed by the following terms:
- Eligibility: Any registered Bukuva user in good standing may join.
- Commission: Affiliates earn commission on qualifying sales made by users they refer. The current rate and tier structure are displayed on the affiliate dashboard and may be changed with 30 days notice.
- Attribution: Referrals are tracked via unique affiliate links using cookies with a 30-day window. First-click attribution applies.
- Payment: Commissions are paid monthly for the previous month's approved earnings. Minimum payout is £25; amounts below this carry forward. Commissions are subject to a 14-day clearing period to allow for refunds or chargebacks.
- Prohibited practices: Affiliates may not bid on "Bukuva" or related brand terms in paid search, use spam or misleading claims, create fake accounts to generate commissions, or misrepresent their relationship with Bukuva.
- Termination: Bukuva may suspend or terminate any affiliate account at any time for violation of these terms or fraudulent behaviour. Outstanding approved commissions will be paid on termination.
- Modification: Bukuva may modify the commission structure, tier thresholds, or programme terms at any time with 30 days notice to active affiliates.
